Launched in spring, the Watch Photo Awards reward the best watch photographers on a specific subject from May to October 2018. The WPA jury first chooses a shortlist of ten photos submitted each month, based on criteria for creativity, respect of the subject and technical prowess. These ten photos are published on the networks of the WPA’s media partners. The public then votes for its favourite photo and the photographer with the most votes wins a weekend for two in a five-star hotel in Geneva. The photographers of the ten shortlisted photos each month will be invited to the inauguration of the WPA photo exhibition at the Musée d’Art et d’Histoire in Geneva in early November, where the sixty photos for all of the subjects will be on display. Watch lovers will be delighted to know that this exhibition takes place alongside that of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève.
